Henry Huntley Melvin lost his life in an automobile accident in 2021. The Henry Huntley Melvin Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by his family to celebrate his passion for sports and his empathy for those less fortunate. This yearly scholarship helps student-athletes in financial need from Henry’s alma mater, Myers Park High School in Charlotte, N.C., as they pursue higher education.
