Belk Place
Come Be Inspired at Belk Place
Belk Place will soon be a hub for civic engagement and philanthropy in our region.
Belk Place will be a campus of civic amenities located in the heart of Uptown Charlotte. The campus will include the Luski-Gorelick Center for Philanthropy, the Levine Conference Center, the Robinson Center for Civic Leadership and the Sonia and Isaac Luski Gallery, as well as the soon-to-be renovated Carolina Theatre and an Intercontinental Hotel that will rise above.
Named in honor of a generous lead gift to the Carolina Theatre restoration from Katherine Belk and the late Thomas M. Belk, and the late Claudia and John M. Belk, the campus will celebrate the family's many civic contributions to our region.
Explore, convene and celebrate with us
The Luski-Gorelick Center for Philanthropy serves as FFTC headquarters and as a vibrant center for philanthropic activity.
The Sonia and Isaac Luski Gallery showcases an extensive collection of glass art and other artistic works. It is free and open to the public during weekday business hours
The Levine Conference Center features 16 state-of-the-art conference rooms for community convening. Meeting rooms are offered at no charge during weekday business hours to our local nonprofits, and are available for rent to other groups.
Many of the important issues our community faces are broader than any one entity can address. The Robinson Center for Civic Leadership convenes partners and funding to address our region’s greatest needs and opportunities.
The Center is formally named for Sally and Russell Robinson, honoring two of our community’s most respected civic and philanthropic leaders.
Once restored, the Carolina Theatre will serve as a venue for speakers, community engagement events, arts & entertainment and more.
220 North Tryon is a premier event venue offering multiple spaces for corporate meetings, weddings, receptions, fundraisers and other special events.
At the corner of Sixth and Tryon Streets, an InterContinental Hotel will rise atop the renovated and restored Carolina Theatre, located within Belk Place.
