A Bold Vision for an Equitable Charlotte
The Mayor's Racial Equity Initiative recently announced an update on progress for the $250-million public-private partnership to improve opportunity for all. Thanks to the generosity of funders and the work of community leaders, there’s an incredible amount of momentum across the MREI’s four Priority Areas – momentum that’s already led to marked shifts in the quest for a more equitable Charlotte.
Fundraising for Arts and Culture
With local cultural nonprofits devastated by lost revenues due to the effects of the pandemic, FFTC was called to lead a private-sector campaign to match City of Charlotte funding. Thanks to generous donors, FFTC raised $23 million for the creative sector, a good portion of which has already been granted to local arts & culture organizations.
