Foundation For Black Philanthropy is a collective power to celebrate and uplift the strong tradition of Black giving in our community.
Originally called the African American Community Foundation, FFBP was made possible by planned gifts from Lethia Henderson and Elizabeth S. Randolph. Over the years, the volunteer grantmaking board has awarded more than $500,000 to nonprofits serving the local Black community.
The Lethia Henderson Fund for a Healthy Black Community supports organizations addressing the health and nutrition of students ages 0-18, as well as programs providing services for diseases that disproportionately affect African Americans. The board looks for innovative, cultural and community-based interventions that reduce health disparities.
